This one is more for the guys, but it should go without saying that in order to make a good impression you need to be clean. Shave, groom and for god’s sake, wear some nice clothes! Don’t go ver the top and become a walking metrosexual, be a man, but by showing you care enough to take care of yourself, you put out a vibe to the date that you have self-respect. Also, no woman likes sitting next to a man reeking of BO during dinner. Sorry, it is true.
Turn it Off To Turn Them On
Oh those wonderful little smartphones, iPads and electronic gizmos. They are great and we have now become a nation dependent upon them, but when you are out on those first few dates, you have better turn them off to keep your date turned on. Don’t leave the device on, as when it goes off, even on vibrate, we are so programmed to check it, it is nearly impossible to resist. Show your date that they have your undivided attention and you are not going to be distracted by your phone. Stay focused, turn off the gizmos and devote your time to your date.
Listen and Talk
If you think you are going to get anywhere by dominating and overruling the conversation you are mistaken. Be sure to actually listen to what your date has to say. Ask questions. And when asked, respond, but don’t be a braggart. For men, keep the story of how you floated down a river in the Congo saved for another time, and for women, keep stories about your cats to a minimum. Listen and learn. Make sure you read more dating tips.
